Below is a synopsis of the board meeting actions and discussions that took place at the February 8, 2016 regular board meeting held at City Hall.
- No one spoke during Citizens Speak.
- Student council representatives Isaiah Smith and Megan Custis provided an update on recent student council activities.
- Mia Frommelt of Bohnsack and Frommelt LLP, Certified Public Accountants presented the audit of FY 2015.
- The consent agenda was approved which included the following:
- Minutes of January 21, 2015 special session and January 25, 2016 planning and regular sessions.
- Employment Recommendations of:
- Certified Resignations: Nicole Bradley – WMS Special Ed teacher, and Kelly Preslan – MHS Band (both effective at the end of 2015-16 school year;
- Schedule C Resignations: Sally Echelbarger – MS Girls Volleyball and Cathy Kramer – MHS Dept Chair/Science;
- 2015-16 New Hires: Valarie Paca - Franklin/Jefferson Reading Support and Emily Schroeder – Madison/Washington Reading Support; and
- 2016-17 New Hires – Administration: Jared Smith – MHS Principal. (See news release)

- The 2016-17 Academic Calendar was approved.
- Approved Budget Guarantee Resolution.

- Approved the General Student Fee Structure Fiscal Year 2016-17.
- MHS Principal Mike McGrory, Assistant Principal Chris Nienhaus, and At Risk Coordinator Elena Bobay presented a student performance report.
